New Bridge Project

The NewBridge Project is an active and vibrant artist-led community supporting the development of artists and curators.

NewBridge Project provide space for creatives to work and exhibit as well as delivering an ambitious artist-led programme of exhibitions, commissions, artist development and events.

Based in Carliol House is a grade II listed building on Market Street. It was originally the headquarters and offices of the North-Eastern Electricity Supply Company, built in 1924-8. Carliol House is named after a prominent local family of merchants and politicians from the 13th and 14th Centuries.

Daily 10.00 – 18.00 (closed for Exhibition change over 16 – 20 July & 13 – 17 August)

The Newbridge Project will be closed on August Bank Holiday Monday (27 August).
