Grants Scheme Wave 2
Are you a local SME with a project to develop a new product or service and looking for funding? Our innovation grant scheme could be for you if your project is developed enough and you are able to put some of your own funding into it too. During wave 2 of the grants scheme, you can apply for a grant from £1,000 to up to £5,000.
The Collaborate scheme will provide support for SMEs wanting to collaborate with a research organisation to develop a new product/service/process. The GX project team will broker collaborations between SMEs and Research Institutions who have been successful in joining the Collaborate framework. The costs of research and development undertaken by the Research Institution (worth up to £11,000) will be supported, with funding paid directly to the institution.
Join us at this event to find out more about the two different schemes. We will provide further detail on each, helping you to understand which opportunity is most appropriate for your business. We will also provide case studies from wave 1 of the grants scheme and offer ‘top tips’ on how to submit a successful application.
This is a must-attend event for any businesses looking to apply. The closing date for expressions of interest for both schemes is Friday 15 February. To be eligible, businesses must be based in the North East LEP area and meet the SME definition. We focus on businesses operating in the regional smart specialisation sectors and areas of opportunities. Please note that only eligible businesses will be able to attend this event.
If you are a business who has already submitted their expression of interest, we would also encourage you to attend.
The GX project is a two-year ERDF funded business innovation programme which provides a range of opportunities for North East SMEs and scaleups before, during and after the Great Exhibition of the North.
