Almere Ltd

Name and description of the product/service developed

Healthy Street Sensors is a suite of sensors which can operate at street, junction and district level to turn vision into data, deployed either permanently of for short surveys. The sensors can turn public spaces into a living laboratory and be used for immediate commercial applications including retail and transport data collection.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Almere Ltd to design part of the third generation of Healthy Street sensors including a lightweight version.

 

Arcus Animation Studios

Name and description of the product/service developed

Fulldome is a shared immersive platform that currently mostly exhibits didactic, educational content. It will be enhanced by developing the creative tools to produce narrative and story based content that can reach in to the theatre, events and cinema market.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Arcus Animation Studios to fund further content development for immersive storytelling in order to create new processes for Fulldome as well as creative outcomes.

 

Barrier Ex

Name and description of the product/service developed

A jet fire rated GRP Cable Tray.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Barriers Ex to fund the internal and external testing and validation of the new jet fire rated GRO Cable Tray that they are developing.

 

E2e

Name and description of the product/service developed

e2E Satcom Ltd (e2E) is developing a new product referred to as mini-SAT that is a payload to be carried on a nano-satellite and with the intention of providing communication services to end clients. The types of services are suited to a number of periodic reporting and machine-to-machine type applications. E2E is branding this new service and business model under Uamâ. In order to realise this vision then e2E requires to both secure satellite spectrum in order to run the services and ground station licences in order to send and receive RF communications.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable e2E to commission the required external subject matter expert(s) to assist e2E in submitting and processing the satellite filing that is so essential to the process. The SME will also progress the ground station landing rights where we intend to have a capability from our engineering site in Hertfordshire and our planned operations centre in the Gateshead area. The filing and subsequent negotiation process with the main UK regulator (OFCOM) is not a key skill set that e2E possesses and hence the need to seek external support.

 

Enviresearch Ltd

Name and description of the product/service developed

E-pec is a software tool to perform modelling predictions of the environmental fate of chemicals in surface water which are used in the authorisation of plant production products.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Enviresearch Ltd to build on the existing e-pec tool and fund IT consultancy services to deliver a number of enhancements related to the reporting function and the user interface of the e-pec tool.

 

Equiwatt Ltd

Name and description of the product/service developed

Equiwatt is an innovative platform and smart hub technology that pays people for saving energy when the grid is under stress.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Equiwatt Ltd to design, develop and test an app to support the trial of our new platform/technology and maximise its outcome.

 

Fair Custodian

Name and description of the product/service developed

Fair Custodian platform will allow users to understand, manage, and take control of the personal data they share online with third parties.

The GX grant will enable Fair Custodian to fund the initial PR campaign and influencer marketing and develop the branding for the platform.

 

Frontier Technical Ltd

Name and description of the product/service developed

MARLIN Modular Platform for Offshore Wind: Enabling Global Energy Access for Coastal Communities.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Frontier Technical to fund the IP to ensure MARLIN is professionally protected for future export. Support for and Mechanical Engineering Design and Analysis will also be provided.

 

Golden Haze

Name and description of the product/service developed

CPD Match is a matching service for health service professionals to engage in training.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Golden Haze to fund the cost for a website, app and CRM to be designed, developed and produced for CPD.

 

Intelligence Fusion

Name and description of the product/service developed

Data mining tool for the intelligence sector.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Intelligence Fusion to fund an expert to analyse, map and identify all possible automations to improve the IF’s platform operation and build Artificial Intelligence into the product.

 

PlaceChangers

Name and description of the product/service developed

PlaceChangers is an online engagement platform offering an easy-to-use, painless way to embed public engagement in planning projects.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable PlaceChangers Ltd to fund a software development sprint to develop the online platform’s analytics.
