ART health solutions

Name and description of the product/service developed

The new product will utilise depth camera technology for biomechanical analysis in order to monitor worker’s posture subsequently providing feedback to improve their health

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable ART Health Solutions to fund software development to bring their new product to Minimum Viability Product (MVP) stage.

 

Digital Voices for Communities

Name and description of the product/service developed

DigitalMe focuses on giving a voice to people who might otherwise struggle to be heard. It uses a range of digital and traditional storytelling techniques, photography and animation to enable people to communicate their message with maximum impact while protecting the identity of the participants. Individuals create a digital avatar, which then becomes the vehicle to give voice to their messages while protecting their anonymity. They are supported to create fresh and visually strong art work to further illustrate their message, working towards producing a powerful piece of personal testimony.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Digital Voice to fund a number of workshops to develop the DigitalMe methodology and test it with 2 new target groups (victims of gender-based violence and people with mental health issues) in order to adapt the DigitalMe service to a wider client base.

 

MyProPass

Name and description of the product/service developed

MyProPass will simplify your career! It offers a verified digital professional passport which will replace the physical CV. The service is delivered through a cloud-based portal to individuals and organisations.

The GX grant will fund the initial phase 1 web based application development.

 

Ocucon

Name and description of the product/service developed

Video analytics platform that will be accessible to all users of the Ocucon Cloud storage platform.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Ocucon to fund specialist software development to develop the platform and bring it to proof of concept stage.

Karekot is a new cotbed for children from birth to around 4 or 5 years old

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will use external consultants to support the final stages of design of karekot and the development of a new prototype.  This will then enable a manufacturer to be commissioned to make the product.  Essentially karekot has been redesigned to take account of customer feedback and now incorporates a storage drawer and much softer edging.  As part of the project activity, and to align with modern practice, an animation showing the ease of converting from cotbed to toddler bed will also be included.

 

Walker Subsea Engineering

Development of a new subsea axial-flux motor, suitable for depth up to 500m, based on an existing, class-leading automotive motor.

Description of the activity funded by the GX Innovation grant

The GX grant will enable Walker Subsea Engineering to fund engineering design consultancy.
