The Biscuit Factory is the UK’s largest independent contemporary art, craft & design gallery immersed in Newcastle’s cultural quarter.

Housed in a former Victorian biscuit manufacturing warehouse, The Biscuit Factory boasts two floors of beautiful gallery spaces displaying a range of contemporary fine art, sculpture, original prints and jewellery from over 200 artists every season. A recent sympathetic refurbishment of the building ensures that visitors to the gallery can still see many of the original and characterful facets of the building.

The gallery’s home is a former Victorian warehouse, constructed in 1870 and the building was used in the manufacturing of biscuits It is possible to pick out original elements of the old biscuit factory in today’s building, such as ovens, fireplaces and metalworks.
