The creative and cultural sectors encompass a diversity of organisations, businesses and more with a wide range of specialisms. From SMEs and freelancers to public bodies and the wider private sector, how can the sector take advantage of this multiplicity to foster innovation through collaboration?

The creative and cultural sectors encompass a diversity of organisations, businesses and more with a wide range of specialisms. From SMEs and freelancers to public bodies and the wider private sector, how can the sector take advantage of this multiplicity to foster innovation through collaboration?

The seventh event in our Emerging Tech series of the GX programme will return to the theme of Creative & Cultural, focusing on engaging with large cultural organisations. What opportunities are available to SMEs and other smaller actors within the creative and cultural sectors to engage with larger organisations? Moreover, what funding is available to accommodate and enable collaboration?

The event will seek to address this and more, as well as creating a space for conversations and collaborations to begin amongst like-minded individuals and organisations. All events in the Emerging Tech series are free to attend.

The event will take place at the Live Theatre, Newcastle Quayside. Known for producing and presenting new plays, as well as seeking out and nurturing new creative talent. Located in a carefully restored complex of five Grade II listed buildings, the Live Complex has a unique historical and cultural setting in an iconic part of Newcastle.
