Vintage By The Sea Festival is a free family festival celebrating the brilliance of timeless design, fashion, art, vehicles, entertainment and culture. Inspired by the wealth of creativity from the 20th century, Vintage By The Sea is Hemingway Design’s tribute to the cultural movements of the 1920s to 1990s

Whether your thing is swing, rockabilly, mod, soul, funk, disco, ska – or if you just want to dress up and get an authentic makeover – Vintage Festival is a sensual delight, a collector’s dream and a joyous creative feast for all ages. For one glamorous weekend we celebrate every corner of the 1920s to the 1990s that has made Britain the world’s creative and cultural hot bed.

So much more than a music festival – a veritable feast of art, craft, and serendipitous fun with art and design flowing through its veins. Have a go at painting, designing and generally getting creative – you can learn a new skill or revive an old one with help from our expert hosts. At Vintage we take a sense of wartime make-do-and-mend and apply it to a modern sense of sustainability and respect for the environment.

Around every corner expect to find those little unexpected touches that truly make it a special weekend away or day out. Whether it’s a display of classic cars, pooch parade, flyovers, Best in Show catwalks, heritage fairground rides, performances, music from vintage eras or classic cinema, we guarantee there is something to put a smile on every face!
