The North York Moors National Park are working with Teesside University for the Inspired by gallery’s summer exhibition. Showcasing a collection of exciting, innovative and engaging art work by Teesside University’s talented art students, it is inspired by the landscape and folklore of the North York Moors and Tees Valley.

As part of the summer exhibition programme, the North York Moors National Park is working in partnership with the Fine Arts and Media Department from Teesside University to showcase a collection of stunning works for the Inspired by…gallery at the Moors National Park Centre in Danby.

The exhibition will showcase a collection of exciting, innovative and engaging art work by Teesside University’s multi-talented art students, studying on the BA (Hons) and MA Fine Art courses. Inspired by the wonderful vista and landscapes, the environment and folklore of the North York Moors and Tees Valley, the work shown embraces all kinds of practice in response to the theme of landscape and nature. The different conceptual approaches manifest visual solutions that question our relationship to landscape and what this might mean to each individual.

Using a variety of media including film, installation, sculpture, painting, printmaking and photography, the students will present a body of work that stretches their creative talent and presents a new representation of the North York Moors.
