Bridges___ is a sound installation exploring the voices of the unique bridges spanning the river Tyne.

The iconic bridges are a symbol of home to those living in Newcastle and Gateshead and are embedded in our everyday interactions. These recordings explore how the structures resonate during their daily interaction with the ebb and flow of people, transport and the River Tyne.

Using bespoke controllers, audiences can create a sonic exploration of the bridges and make their own unique soundscape.

Bridges ___ is a collaboration between David de la Haye, Senior Music Technician and James Davoll, Technical Manager both School of Arts and Cultures. Join them for a live improvised performance and an introduction to their sound installation at 6:30pm on 8th August.

Venue: The Long Gallery, Newcastle University
